How Can My Child Benefit?
The principles of the Ka-chi Junior Program focus strongly on developing positive outcomes in the following
areas:
Self Discipline
The first and foremost benefit that a student will develop is self discipline, which helps students’ complete
things they start. The student will then be able to apply this self discipline not only in their martial arts
in the form of training and practicing, but also in their everyday lives.
Self-Esteem
Another benefit is the development of self-esteem, when a student is introduced to a new technique and learns
to incorporate that technique into their everyday training they will begin to believe in their abilities and
will want to increase their knowledge. This increase in self-esteem will help a student cope with problems.
This will encourage problem solving and the added self-esteem will help students in everyday interactions
with other children and adults alike.
Self Confidence
The classes will incorporate self confidence building exercises, the confidence built during these exercises
will follow a student for the rest of their lives. The more confidence a student has the more a student will
strive to achieve bigger and better things for themselves and they will be able to take their failures and
learn from them rather then dwell on them. This will increase a students ability to gain a good overall
attitude which will in turn help them in communication with others, as well as life in general.
Character Building
Children are encouraged to understand that the decisions they make and the consequences of those decisions
are important to themselves and others. This helps develop them into stronger individuals and creates the
building blocks essential in becoming the best at whatever they apply themselves to.
As well as the benefits stated above the student will also see an increase in body coordination and their
overall physical fitness. Since the class is taught in a group setting students will increase their social
skills and will learn the essentials to excel as an individual and as part of a team.
